Overview

Overview

To promote environmental education and enhance public awareness of sustainability, TAISE launched the 'Climate Change Primary and Secondary School Painting Competition' in 2009, and this year marks its 13th iteration. Over the years, a total of 59,152 pupils hailing from 40 countries entered the competition. In 2023, focusing on Sustainable Developing Goals 11: ‘Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable’, the theme of the painting competition is designated to be ‘Green Earth Designer’. In the hope of whilst painting, pupils will get to know better of their surroundings (including their campus), familiarise themselves with urban infrastructure, transportation, green space and security planning, learn about histories of community development, or visit nearby historic sites. With the help of teachers, TAISE aims to guide pupils to deepen their sustainability knowledge and encourage them to take climate action.
