This painting shows a sea turtle swimming through polluted waters filled with plastic waste. I used watercolor for the sea and city, and added gouache to highlight the turtle’s beauty. Above the waves is a busy city, but below, ocean life is suffering. Sea animals are in danger because of pollution and global warming caused by humans. This artwork is a reminder to protect our oceans.
